David Ingham

Standing for:

Swansea West

My key issues are:

  • LGBTQ+ rights

  • Rights for the Welsh language

  • Tackling racism/Islamophobia

Candidate profile:

I would like to be a member of the Welsh Youth Parliament because I have an interest in politics and children's rights. If elected, I would ensure that children's voices are heard and represented by ensuring that everyone can contact me easily. I believe that I am an extremely approachable person, and I will make sure that every individual's concerns are addressed.

You should vote for me because I am a very opinionated and passionate person but am always open to new ideas/suggestions. There is no question that I will fight for what I/others around me believe in. I also have lots of experience in the area, as I play an active role on the Anti-Racism/Islamophobia and LGBTQ+ Rights groups at my school. To add to that, I was recently elected to the Advisory Panel for the Children's Commissioner for Wales, Sally Holland. I attend meetings and discuss issues affecting children in Wales.

Overall, I am an outgoing, down-to-earth person and I do not hesitate to take on new challenges and opportunities. I hope that voters recognise my experience and vote for me in the Youth Parliament elections.
