Candidate profile:

I am Charitha Garadannagari I am 13 years old. I am determined to make a difference for all the youngsters around Wales as a Welsh Youth Parliament Member. I already sit on Neath Port Talbot youth council ensuring a youth voice in the community. I have also been involved in Reclaim which links youth leadership as a social change organisation supporting working class young people to make a difference.  I feel that my skillset, developed through these activities, would suit becoming a Welsh Youth Parliament Member.

I am currently part of my schools Pupil Leadership Team, which is a selection of pupils that represent the school ensuring pupils voices are heard. I want to be part of the Welsh Youth Parliament as I am passionate about shaping the future for young people. I realise the importance of being a good role model and I want others to be influenced by the positive changes.  I am a confident speaker and am enthusiastic about consulting, debating and sharing my ideas.

If I am successful I look forward to making a difference for the young people of Wales by consulting through digital media and giving them the platform to get their voices heard.
