Adam Khattak

Standing for:

Cardiff West

My key issues are:

  • Quality of education

  • Sport facilities for BAME

  • Public transport

Candidate profile:

I wish to run for the Welsh Youth Parliament as I'm passionate about the issues i am standing for and believe that these issues should be addressed as they have a significant impact on the lives of 11-18 year olds around the country. I will strive to make a difference in the community through my ability to voice concerns effectively whilst immersing myself with my peers. I will consult young people from all backgrounds through a variety of platforms and hold meetings enabling my peers to have their voice heard. I believe I have the fundamental characteristics to be an influential and approachable member of the Welsh Youth Parliament whilst accurately conveying the concerns pointed out to me.

As a BAME student I feel especially strong about these 3 key issues. Ive taken up roles of responsibility outside the classroom. Primarily through cricket in which I have had the honour of representing Wales and I have gained valuable experience from it.

Voting for me means giving you the chance to voice your concerns and have your say in what really affects us on a daily basis.
