Candidate profile:

Hi, I’m Elin and I’d love to be your Welsh Youth Parliament Member. I live in Denbighshire, I’m bilingual in English and Welsh and I’ve always wanted to make a difference in the world.

If you elect me I will ensure that the needs and ideas of young people are being supported and understood. I’m a genuine and honest person and I always aspire to do what is right.

The three matters I feel most passionate about are mental health, education, and equal rights. There is a crisis in our mental health service and I want to be a part of the solution. Education is something that all young people have to navigate and it’s not always easy. In terms of equal rights, nobody should feel discriminated against because of who they are. I’m fully committed to all these things.

In WYP meetings I’ll be a spokesperson for your ideas and suggestions and I’ll raise any concerns to try to resolve them. Outside of meetings I’ll share what the WYP is doing about the issues you’ve raised and I will ensure that I’m easy to contact.
