Annie May Darbyshire
My key issues are:
Mental Health in all forms.
Preservation of Imagination.
Creating Insight into Teenage Lives.
Hey there! I’m Annie and I’d love to be a member of the Welsh Youth Parliament. Over the years of viewing the school system through my eyes, those of my friends, my teachers and my parents, it's become apparent to me that everyone has an opinion. This may not seem like a shock to you, but how do you get your voice heard?
Being a member of the Welsh Youth Parliament would give us the opportunity to make a difference! I plan to discuss possible changes with the students in my district; this is vital to me, as one of the key issues I stand for is, ‘Preservation of Imagination’. This is us breaking free from the confines of standardised testing, the monotony of textbooks and the limits of our age. It’s gaining our independent voices.
I already participate in my School Parliament; we work together to gain those voices that I wish for every school to have, on every Governing Board!
I stand for mental health too, which affects a worrying number of teenagers. This battle will be fought tirelessly, for our sake.
It's been nice talking yet I really must go!
