Candidate profile:

Hello I’m Katie!

I would like to be a Welsh Youth Parliament member because I believe I can make sure young people’s voices are heard on a national scale. I believe I can represent the young people of Wrexham by talking to a wide variety of ages and asking their opinion on issues that affect them.

I am a passionate and determined young person with good communication skills and the ability to speak up on important matters. I have developed skills in community organising and consultation running through a local charity called TCC Together Creating Communities, as part of this group I create change in Wrexham. I am also a member of a Girl Guiding Wales and the Senedd yr Ifanc Wrexham Youth Parliament; these groups give me a platform for collecting young people views and voices and represent their interests.

I am enthusiastic about improving environmental issues, in particular reducing the use of single-use plastic and recycling. I strongly believe that it is important to teach pupils basic life skills such as finances and independent living skills while in school.

You should vote for me because your voice matters and I will speak up on your behalf!
