Cardiff South and Penarth
My key issues are:
State School Government Spending
Increase work experience accessibility
Improve green city spaces
Being able to have a voice and articulate my opinions have always been important and gratifying skills for me, with the intent of helping other young people to achieve a fair and better future, especially in the midst of political change. The views of other young people are paramount in producing change.
I would encourage young people to get involved in the voting processes that the Welsh Youth Parliament may set up. I would also want to introduce an electronic survey that occurs every three months on which young people can vote on how to shape their constituency.
I strongly believe in three actions: to listen, articulate, and change. I promise to deliver on these three actions to encourage development and advancement.
I think I would be a good Welsh Youth Parliament member as I have experience in public speaking (up to grade 6 LAMDA elocution) and in helping others through the Peer Listening scheme that took place in my previous school (listening to the pastoral concerns of other pupils).
I also hope to get heavily involved in the debating programme in my current school as well as join the Student enterprise (something I previously enjoyed). Thank you!!
