Lucia Ashley Spacey

Standing for:

Merthyr Tydfil and Rhymney

My key issues are:

  • Protect libraries

  • More support for disabilities

  • Support sustainability

Candidate profile:

I would like to be part of the Welsh Youth Parliament because I want my fellow students and my voice heard, to stand out and be part of decisions. I want to help everyone be happy in their schools and local environments and have their opinions heard. It would mean the world to me if I could be part of this for a brighter future and make a real difference.

I want the community to have people who can help them and for all to be involved in future decisions. My aim is for our community to be closer and help each other.

I would ensure that local libraries remain free for school pupils and provide activities and events. Therefore, I would encourage and attract everyone to use local libraries.

To support sustainability I would help schools and communities recycles plastics or anything that could harm any creatures, wildlife or environment. In my Primary School I was an active member of the Eco Council and gave many great ideas to help.

I would make the right choices by listening to everyone in my area and encouraging them to talk to me about ideas and decisions by meetings and social media.
