Standing for:

My key issues are:

  • Youth mental health and well-being

  • Affordable extra curricular activities

  • Anti-bullying initiatives across all schools

Candidate profile:

My name is Ffion Hâf Jones and I am currently a 6th Form student  at Ysgol Llanhari studying A levels and the WBQ.   I would like to represent the young people of my community who are in school or college, as I feel I have the necessary attributes to represent others.

I speak Welsh, I am a good listener, communicator, organiser and I work well within a team and am keen to represent others as a candidate for the first ever Youth Parliament in Wales.  How is exciting is this!

I have gained valuable experience over the last few years in working with young people as a deputy head girl in addition to working with fellow pupils on the school council. I have also helped in an after school club in my former primary school and was a School Ambassador for the Children’s Commissioner for Wales.

I would like the youth of today to have a happy, safe and green future, being able to express our views on matters affecting us.

I want us to have a voice and to be heard.  After all, we are the future of our community and we are the future of Wales. Diolch
