Candidate profile:

I am standing for election to the youth parliament as I want to ensure that young people have a voice in Wales. It is important for me, personally, to know that I have contributed to making a difference within my community. I feel that I am an excellent role model for my peers: I am approachable, motivated and passionate about my studies and extra-curricular activities.

I have been a highly involved and respected member of the Student Parliament in my school over the last 4 years. This has given me the opportunity to represent young people in my school and has given me the confidence to express my own opinion.  This would help me be an effective voice for young people as I not only express my own ideas but I am able to consider other people’s opinions to make sure everyone is represented fairly.

Outside of school, I have been involved in volunteering at my local community centre, working in fundraising events and communicating with a wide range of people through these activities.  I feel as though my experiences and personal qualities would help me to excel as a member of the youth parliament.
