Candidate profile:

Hello! My name is Tomas Richards, I am in year 7 at West Monmouth school. Before moving to cwmbran, I lived in a small village called Ystrad Mynach near Caerphilly. I am a fluent Welsh speaker and I enjoy speaking it too. I enjoy a number of sports and I am also  keen on aviation, I’ve just recently started to play the piano and I’m gradually improving.

The Youth Parliament Wales is an excellent idea and gives youths and teens the opportunity to discuss issues and to put forward ideas to create a better environment for everyone. The advantages of voting for me is that I listen to everyone but I’ve also had the experience in primary school. In primary school, I was elected to become a member of the School Council and become deputy head boy before moving to Cwmbran.  I’d really like to become part of the Youth Parliament and I believe that I would do an excellent job of representing youths and teens in my area.
