Lacey Dwyer

Standing for:

Newport East

My key issues are:

  • Child mental health

  • Caring for our environment

  • Children right/global goals

Candidate profile:

My name is Lacey Dwyer and I am 14 years old. I live in Ringland which is in the city of Newport. I attend Llanwern High School. I am currently studying for my GCSE's and I am a member of Llanwern High Combined Cadet Forces and I am planning my bronze Duke Of Edinburgh.

There are many issues that matter to me but my three main issues are child mental health, caring for our environment and children rights/global goals. I would work with the youth of my constituency by representing their views and opinions by targeting local schools and youth organisations.

People should vote for me because I believe I am a good role model, supportive, understanding, empathetic and a good listener who enjoys meeting new people. I am also compassionate and resilient at everything I do. I would be honoured to represent my constituency in the Welsh Youth Parliament as I strongly believe that children's opinions and voices should be heard as it is our future we are trying to sustain and improve.
