Candidate profile:

Hello! My name is Sitara and I am applying to join the Welsh Youth Parliament. I have lived in Wales my whole life and I would love to have an influence on its future. I am part Iraqi, part Malaysian and have welsh roots from my grandmother. I play the harp, drums and piano. I enjoy music because I feel that it’s really powerful and could change my mood in seconds.

I want to be part of the Welsh Youth Parliament because I have always wondered why adults would have the more powerful opinion on what happens in our country. I am involved in a lot of in and outside school activities and I would hold polls and ask people in my school and activity groups for their individual opinions on change within Wales.

I think you should vote for me because I am really passionate about making our future a better place. I also want the younger generation to get involved with some political decisions so they can feel and know that their opinions matter too. Please vote for me not just to make our lives in Wales better, but the future generations to come.
