Candidate profile:

My name is Tesni Peers and I’m fifteen years old. I’m currently studying for my GCSE’s and my favourite subjects are Welsh and French. I hope to become a Welsh teacher in the future. My hobbies include dance, drama and music. I have represented Adran Rhosllannerchrugog in several dance competitions in the Urdd and National Eisteddfod. I am a member of my local youth theatre group, Theatr yr Ifanc, and recently had the opportunity to perform a show in Märkischer Kreis, Germany. I’ve also enjoyed taking part in concerts with Wrexham Transitional Strings Orchestra.

I am politically active and was a Youth Delegate to a party conference earlier in the year. I believe this, along with my experience of working as part of a team when performing, will help if I am elected as a member of the youth parliament. I would enjoy talking with other young people, listening to the issues they are concerned about and coming up with ideas to improve services. I believe young people should have their say and be involved from an early age because decisions made will affect our future too.
