Candidate profile:

My name is Seren Mills and I live in Ely, Cardiff West. I am 13 years old and attend Cantonian High School. From a young age I have been very passionate about getting my voice heard; Primary school witnessed me on School Council twice and Head of the Eco committee. Furthermore myself and two others came third in the annual English Speaking Union Competition in 2015.

Since attending Cantonian I have taken it upon myself to teach and speak up about things I care about. I have fundraised for charity. I have got my PIXL apprentice award. I have attended and held workshops to develop others and my own knowledge. As a member of the Welsh Youth Parliament it's my responsibility to inform others about what we do and how they can have their voices heard.

I believe I would be a good Youth Parliament member because I am a good Leader and I am aware of what it takes; I participated in Up for Debate 2018, have experienced presenting in front of many people and I speak multiple languages. Therefore I would be grateful if I were to be considered as a Welsh Youth Parliament Member.
