Megan Ffion Elias

Standing for:

Ynys Môn

My key issues are:

  • Mental Health, more professional support.

  • Physical Health, enjoy physical activity.

  • Job Opportunities for young people.

Candidate profile:

I am a passionate, articulate and energetic young woman from the Isle of Anglesey. I am an advocate of equal opportunities for all and I believe strongly in the aims of The Welsh Youth Parliament. I have been a member of Ysgol David Hughes school council for two years, during which time we have successfully achieved the Unicef ‘Rights Respecting School’ Silver Award. Alongside this, I am part of the Llais Ni Youth Council, working hard to improve the facilities and opportunities for young people in the local community, including the awarding of grants and working with young, homeless people. In terms of personal achievements, I am a member of Beaumaris Youth Band (recently awarded 3rd place at the 2018 European Championships); I have represented Caernarfon and Bethesda Women’s Rugby team; I often sail for pleasure and competition, including regularly representing North Wales as part of the North Wales Feva squad.

As a Welsh Youth Parliament member, I would bring my demonstrable energy and enthusiasm to all challenges and campaigns. I am a committed and proud young Welsh woman and I would be an ideal person to represent my constituency and its young people, of which I am exceptionally proud.
