Taya Zara Penny
My key issues are:
My name is Taya, in my opinion, I would be good on the Welsh Youth Parliament because I have been through a tragedy, no child should have to call their reality.
Sadly, when I was aged eight, my dad suddenly passed away. During this difficult process I was offered support that included talking to other children going through the same experience, and counselling, however these options were not appealing to me.
Personally, I would have benefited best from speaking to a young adult who had been through the same heart-breaking experience and were now looking forward to a brighter future. I want to be a voice for these children, I want their emotions to be expressed, I want to be the person these children turn to during their darkest times.
Furthermore, I would raise awareness of bullying; I see a form of bullying occurring at least once a week either on social media or in school. Though bullying is mentioned often, it is still unfortunately an ongoing issue.
I believe that it is OUR responsibility as the next generation of adults in Wales to change the way society works! A vote for me is a vote for a brighter future!
