Candidate profile:

I would love to become a member of the brand new Welsh Youth Parliament due to my passion for making change and helping local communities.

I believe that being a Youth Parliament member is an honourable position, and would take it on head first with enthusiasm and dedication. I consider myself to be approachable, and willing to listen to any suggestions anyone may have.

Also, I pride myself on being diligent and hardworking and would strive to achieve things for the community quickly and efficiently. I am passionate about helping and supporting young people like me and would give everyone equal opportunities to get actively involved with issues that matter to us.

I want to get stuck in with the community and turn up the volume of the previously unheard voice of young people in Wales. I am an active member of my school’s debating society and so have the persuasive flare needed for the role.

Also, I was recently appointed Head Boy, so everyday I use key leadership and teamwork skills. I love the phrase “from little acorns, great oaks grow,” and I would love to be that acorn to transform the voice of young people in Welsh communities.
