Candidate profile:

As a member of the Welsh Youth Parliament, I would aim to make a difference to local communities by carefully listening to the issues faced by young people in the Bridgend area, and representing their voice within the Youth Parliament in a clear, passionate, and empathetic way.

I am approachable, warm, and friendly, with many useful years of experience being a member of my school council, where I campaigned to provide a more comfortable, pupil-friendly environment. Also, in response to a group of young people who felt their needs were not being fulfilled, I set up a Science Café which has brought like-minded students together, where they can make new friends with people they may not have met otherwise – improving the happiness and wellbeing within the school community. This is proof that a small change can make a big difference.

I am determined to ensure that young people feel safe and valued, as well as being provided with opportunities to confidently voice their opinion – because young people are the future, and we matter.
