Shannon Gunton

Standing for:

Dwyfor Meirionnydd

My key issues are:

  • The environment

  • Health and wellbeing

  • Human rights

Candidate profile:

I would like to apply to become a member of the Welsh Youth Parliament. I'm a year 9 pupil at Ysgol Bro Idris, Dolgellau, and doing a great deal in the community. I play a lot of sports, e.g. football, rugby, cricket, and get involved with the school teams. I would like to do this because I believe that the views of school children are important and that there is a responsibility to make children happy, so I would be delighted to have the opportunity to represent the views of others.

I believe that I am a suitable candidate because I can work effectively with others and I am always willing to work with anyone. I can also work on a computer, Ipads or paper. I'm confident speaking in front of an audience. I am fluent in Welsh and English.

There are many things that are important to me in Wales but these are the three most important to me:

  1. The environment,

  2. Health and well-being

  3. Human rights.

These three things are important to me because they help make Wales look better and ensure a successful future for us.
