Marged Lois Campbell

Standing for:

Carmarthen East and Dinefwr

My key issues are:

  • Improving mental health support

  • Creating a plastic-free Wales

  • Establishing an annual school uniform grant

Candidate profile:

I have a keen interest in politics and I want to see more young people's voices heard on wider platforms. If elected, I will consult widely with the people of my area by creating a forum that would meet every term so that they have the opportunity to present ideas or express their opinions about what concerns them, and then feed this back to the Youth Parliament. Vote for me because I will ensure that the Parliament acts for the rights of young people as well as work to improve the support given to those suffering from mental health issues.

In addition, I would try to create a good relationship with the Scottish Youth Parliament and learn from their good practices. I have very good communication skills in both Welsh and English. I'm a creative person that works well as a member of a team but I'm also confident in leading when necessary. My priorities as a member of the Youth Parliament would be to improve the mental health situation by establishing well-being committees in all schools and colleges, aiming for a plastic-free Wales by reducing the sale of plastic bottles everywhere, and establishing an annual grant to ensure that school uniforms and resources are affordable for all.
