My key issues are:
Promoting the Welsh language
Mental health education
Mental illness among young people.
I’m 16 and studying A level Welsh literature, English literature and French at Ysgol Gyfun Cwm Rhymni. I am also excited at the prospect of becoming your representative for the Youth Parliament Wales.
I believe that many young people in Wales feel that their voices can’t be heard. Youth Parliament Wales is a brilliant way of making sure that young people; like us, have a voice and I would love the opportunity to represent yours.
A topic that’s important to me is the way that mental health is discussed in education. Additionally, as a fluent Welsh speaker, the Welsh language is a topic that matters to me.
But being a member of the Welsh Youth Parliament is less about what’s important to me; it’s about what’s important to you, as a young person living in Wales.
Whether it’s a bus route that doesn’t run properly, an idea you have to improve your local area, or an opinion on an issue that’s important to you. I'd love to hear about it.
Just like your voice - your vote counts and I hope I can count on your vote, as I look forward to representing you as a member of Youth Parliament Wales.
